Morning and Evensong prayers are said daily in this parish. Morning Prayers are usually said at 9.00a.m. Evening Prayers are said at different times in the early evening. You are always welcome to join the clergy for those prayers, but in order to make sure that the particular day is not one of the “exceptional days” when another time has been allocated, it is wise to contact the Parish Office.

If you are not able to join us in Church, why not make a daily visit to this site, click on the adjacent prayers, and join us online in praying the daily prayer offices.

St Laurence Church has built up a reputation of being a welcoming Church. We are situated in the centre of the town with an on site car park, and a number of town centre public car parks are within a short distance. The Church is usually open every day in the morning and also during afternoons and evenings when there are functions and events. If you are visiting Chorley and want to view the Church or use our facilities you are welcome to contact the Parish Office (tel 01257 231 360) and arrangements can be made to accommodate you.

The Church has a crèche with baby changing facilities for our young children and as a Church without steps we are wheelchair friendly with an easily accessible disabled toilet.

A three course meal can be purchased when visiting Chorley’s famous market on Tuesdays and Fridays. On Tuesday you may also take the opportunity to share in the Eucharist in the Lady Chapel at 12.15pm, whilst on Friday (if you are of an age) the retirement club meets in the afternoon. Our friendly volunteers will be glad to meet you and serve you.
